Cru Nonpareil

Kenwin Small was a man on a mission when creating Cru Nonpareil. He wanted men with broad, or abnormally long feet to have comfortable and stylish dress shoes to wear no matter the occasion. He and his friends struggled for years to get dress shoes to fit because all of them had some issue surrounding the shape of their feet that impeded the level of comfort they personally needed.

Furthermore, being based in the Caribbean, it was impossible for Kenwin to easily purchase quality welted shoes in a brick-and-mortar store. All of these issues motivated him to find a solution: founding Cru Nonpareil. 

Spain is the mecca for variety in dress shoes for men, but foremost, comfort was his main concern. And since the old way of doing things no longer applied to men in his situation, a different approach was necessary. Cru Nonpareil are produced in factories in Spain who have decades long of experience in welted shoe production, with near endless possibilities for customization. 

In addition to standard Goodyear welted footwear, Cru Nonpareil has recently partnered with craftsmen around the world to produce handwelted shoes and handmade boots.

HW Handmade

HW Handmade is helmed by Han Wen, who started leather crafting as a hobby during the height of the pandemic in 2020. Intrigued by dress shoes and the materials used, he explored leather crafting as an avenue to further deep dive into this passion.

After three years of practice, HW Handmade was established in 2023 to bring to the world Han Wen’s own flair of leather crafts. Each item is made completely by hand, from cutting, stitching all the way to finishing. All leathers used are of high quality from famous tanneries from Italy, France and US.
