Shipping policy

All Compendium garments are made to order, made to measure, or bespoke. Each garment is produced specifically according to the customer's selected fabric, design, specifications and measurements.
This policy explains our production, shipping, alteration and cancellation policies.
1. Order Processing
Made-to-order, made-to-measure, and bespoke garments require additional production time. The estimated production period will be communicated at the time of purchase or during the ordering process.
Production times are estimates and may vary depending on the garment, fabric availability, alterations and order volume.
2. Shipping
Orders are shipped using our nominated courier or delivery provider.
Estimated delivery times will vary depending on the destination.
Once an order has been handed to the courier, delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including customs clearance, weather, public holidays and courier delays.
For international orders, the recipient is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees or other charges imposed by the destination country unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. Tracking and Delivery
Where available, tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and contact information.
Compendium is not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete delivery address supplied by the customer.
4. Custom Orders and Cancellations
Because our garments are produced specifically for each customer, orders cannot generally be cancelled once production has commenced.
Before production begins, a cancellation request may be considered at Compendium's discretion, subject to any costs already incurred in preparing the order.
Once production has commenced, payments are generally non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law or where Compendium agrees otherwise.
5. No Change-of-Mind Returns
All made-to-order, made-to-measure, and bespoke garments are non-returnable and non-refundable for change-of-mind reasons.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- changing your mind after placing an order;
- selecting a different fabric, colour or design after production;
- no longer wishing to receive the garment;
- dissatisfaction with a style or specification that was approved before production; or
- measurements or other specifications that were supplied or approved by the customer.
Because each garment is produced specifically for the individual customer, we are unable to accept such garments back for resale.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
6. Fit and Alterations
Tailoring involves individual measurements and fitting, and minor adjustments may sometimes be required after a garment is completed.
Where a garment requires an adjustment, Compendium may request that the customer attend a fitting or return the garment to us for assessment.
Where an adjustment is required because of an error made by Compendium, we will assess the garment and carry out an appropriate remedy.
Where an adjustment is required because of incorrect information, measurements or specifications supplied or approved by the customer, any alteration or associated shipping costs may be chargeable.
7. Defective or Incorrect Garments
If a garment has a manufacturing defect, is materially different from the specifications agreed with the customer, or has been made incorrectly due to an error by Compendium, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with details and photographs of the issue.
We will assess the garment and, where appropriate, arrange an alteration, repair, remake or other appropriate remedy.
Nothing in this policy affects any rights or remedies available to the customer under applicable law.
8. Refunds
Where a refund is required or approved, it will generally be made using the original payment method or an agreed alternative payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law or agreed by Compendium, payments for made-to-order, made-to-measure, and bespoke garments are non-refundable once production has commenced.
